Description

Genetic algorithm was used in information retrieval systems (IRs) for enhance in the information retrieval process to meet with the user needs (optimize the query), and given more performance in information retrieval, the user is looking at the optimal retrieval of information (user need in query) and closest to the right between the huge and growing number of information available. The improvement in inquiry helps to retrieve the information needed by the user in the most accurate and works to reduce the number of files retrieved relevant and exclude files not relevant. Genetic algorithms used in ancient traditional areas such as information retrieval, artificial intelligence, and Neural networks. In this study we will use cosine similarity to compute similarity between the query and documents. We will use three Fitness function in this study (adaptive fitness), and we will use four ratio mutation (adaptive mutation) operators to get the best results through comparing each one function fitness with each mutation.
