Author

Dr. Aniruddha Mondal presently is an Associate Professor of National Institute of Technology Durgapur, Department of Physics since 2014. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Calcutta University (Electronic Science) in 2008 and spent some time as institute Postdoctoral Fellow at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (2008-2009) in the Department of Electrical Engineering. Afterwards he was appointed as Research Professor/Assistant Professor at Dongguk University, Seoul, Republic of Korea (2009-2010) in Millimeter Wave Innovation Technology Research Centre. He also worked as Assistant Professor at National Institute of Technology Agartala, Tripura in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering for 4.5 years (2010-2014). His research interest is on fabrication of III-V, III-N, perovskite and thermochromic thin film and nanostructure semiconductor materials, 1D metal oxide semiconductor nanostructure using Glancing Angle Deposition Technique and fabrication of UV-Vis Detector, Infrared Detector, Plasmonic Detector, Hybrid Semiconductor Detectors. He has published more than 88 highly reputed SCI journals, 58 conference papers and three patents. He already guided 13 Ph.D. students and 3 Ph.D. students are currently working under his supervision. One Postdoctoral Fellow/RA is currently working under his supervision. He has completed seven projects as PI, funded by DST (SERB), BRNS (DAE), AICTE and ISRO. Currently two projects funded by DST (SERB) and ISRO are running under his execution.Dr. Arindam Biswas Presently working as an Associate Professor in School of Mines and Metallurgy at Kazi Nazrul University, WB, India and also Associated as Adjunct Faculty of Taylor´ University, Malaysia. He received M-Tech degree in Radio Physics and Electronics from University of Calcutta, India in 2010 and PhD from NIT Durgapur in 2013. He has worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Pusan National University, South Korea with prestigious BK21PLUS Fellowship, Republic of Korea. Dr. Biswas has received DST-JSPS Invitation fellow at RIE, Japan, DST-ASEAN Invitation fellow at Duy Tan University, Vietnam and Taylors University, Malaysia, Visiting Fellow to Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University Singapore. He has worked as Specially Appointed Associate Professor (Visiting) at Research Institute of Electronics, Shizouka University, Japan. He has been selected for IE (I) Young Engineer Award: 2019-20, KNU Best Researcher Award (Engineering and Technology): 2021, and KNU Best Faculty Award-2022 (Faculty of Science and Technology). He has 72 technical papers in different journals and 47 conference proceedings and 8 authored books/monograms, 24 Edited Volume and 10 book chapter with international repute. Dr. Biswas received research grants from different funding Agencies namely SERB, DST-ASEAN, DST-JSPS, UGC and Industrial consultancy from ECL. He has also received International Research Grant from Centre of Biomedical Engineering, Tokyo Medical and Dental University in association with RIE, Shizouka University, Japan for four consecutive years 2019 to 2023. Dr. Biswas has produced 06 PhD students till date and 03 has submitted their thesis for PhD. He is life member of the Institute of Engineers (India), MGMI and Regular Fellow of Optical Society of India, member of IEEE.
